Hello, I’m Dr. Won Daehan, the director of Primi Clinic, located in Seongsu, Seoul.

 

Until now, I’ve introduced myself in many places as “Won Daehan from ○○○,” but ever since opening my own clinic, it still feels a little strange being called the “Director of Primi Clinic.”

But I’m sure I’ll get used to it soon :)

 

I’ve gained experience in the field of cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery, specializing in laser and filler treatments. I’ve poured my passion into these areas through continuous research and numerous presentations.

 

As a result, I’ve been invited to speak at various conferences such as filler symposiums and the Rejuran Symposium, where I’ve had the honor of lecturing many doctors.

 

In addition, I authored a book titled “Understanding Skin Lasers and Parameter Settings,” which comprehensively covers the principles and settings of lasers for medical professionals.

Why did I decide to open my own clinic?

I have worked at several clinics in the past, treating a wide range of concerns such as pigmentation and melasma, facial asymmetry correction, and body contouring. However, there were many times when I felt limited in what I could do as an employed physician.

 

For example, treating pigmentation and melasma often requires combining multiple laser wavelengths and handpieces. Yet, the laser devices I trust and frequently use cost between 100 to 200 million KRW (approximately $70,000 to $140,000 USD) each.

 

The reality is that very few clinics are equipped with all of these devices.

 

Furthermore, at other clinics, I often wasn’t allowed to use the machines with my preferred settings, which restricted the quality of treatment I could provide.

 

In many cases, there weren’t proper skin analysis machines, or treatment was recommended by non-medical staff based on inaccurate assessments, which often led to unnecessary procedures. These situations left me feeling extremely frustrated.

 

That’s why I made the decision to open my own clinic.

When it came to designing Primi Clinic, I personally oversaw and selected every detail—from the interior design and spatial layout for both patients and staff, to the air conditioning, sound insulation, fragrance, consumables, medications, fillers, and even our laser devices.

 

I meticulously prepared everything down to the smallest detail—perhaps to the point where you might think, “Is that really necessary?”
