A wedding is one of the most important moments in life.

As a result, even those who don’t usually focus on skincare may find themselves putting more effort into it in preparation for this special day.

Preparing for a wedding already involves many expenses, and adding a "wedding skincare package" can seem like a significant additional cost.

Recently, many dermatology clinics offer various programs under the name of "wedding packages," but:

✔ Is it really necessary?
✔ On the other hand, what are the treatments that are truly needed?

As a dermatologist, I would like to honestly share my thoughts with you!

📌 What is a Wedding Package?

A wedding package is a dermatological treatment plan designed to improve and perfect your skin condition before the wedding day, ensuring you look your best.

Typically, the following treatments are included:

Laser Toning → Improvement of pigmentation and dullness
Fillers (e.g., Juvederm) → Facial volume adjustment
Botox & Skin Botox → Wrinkle and pore improvement
Whitening Care → Overall skin tone enhancement
Moisturizing Program → Preventing dryness and improving makeup application
Lifting → Improvement of sagging skin

Other treatments may include skincare and exfoliation programs.

📌 Is a Wedding Package Really Necessary?

As a dermatologist, I do not offer a "wedding package" plan by design.

The reason is that the treatments should vary depending on the time remaining until the wedding.

I have performed over 50,000 Botox procedures over the past five years, and I’ve only had one case of side effects (a heavy feeling after forehead Botox).

Even with such confidence in the procedures, it is essential to be cautious during the crucial period leading up to the wedding.

In the rare case that side effects occur, it may take time for recovery. Therefore, treatments should be chosen based on how much time remains before the wedding.

For example, Botox can have side effects that last 1-2 months if anything goes wrong. So, if time is limited, any procedure with even a 0.1% risk of side effects should be avoided.

📌 Don’t Be Fooled by "Discount Prices"!

Dermatology clinics often offer packages in the following way:

📌 "A + B + C + D + E → Regular price 300,000 JPY → Special price 150,000 JPY! (50% OFF)"

This kind of package may seem like a great deal.

However, the clinic will never lose money.

✔ The package is often made up of treatments with low costs.
✔ The actual treatments the bride and groom receive may be of lower quality.
✔ The package doesn’t consider individual skin conditions or the remaining time, which increases the risk of unexpected side effects.

In other words, to avoid skin troubles before the wedding, you should carefully choose the treatments included in the package.

📌 Everyone has different skin concerns!

Wedding packages may include treatments that are necessary for some individuals but unnecessary for others.

As a result, it is not uncommon to be recommended additional treatments, leading to higher costs in the end.

📌 Skincare is Necessary Not Only for the Bride and Groom, but Also for Their Parents!
It's not only the bride and groom who should look beautiful on their wedding day.

💎 Your parents, who have lovingly raised you, will also appear in the commemorative photos! 💎

Many people sign up for a "wedding package," only to end up adding treatments for their parents, leading to unexpectedly high costs.

📌 Long-Term Skin Care Over Short-Term Treatments!

Even if you undergo expensive treatments just for the wedding, the results won’t last forever.

What’s truly important is maintaining healthy and beautiful skin long-term.

✔ Even if you receive an expensive treatment just once, the effects are temporary.
✔ The most effective approach is to receive treatments that suit you, consistently over time.

📌 Things to Be Careful About When Choosing a Dermatology Clinic
If I were searching for a wedding package as a bride or groom, I would avoid clinics like the following:

Clinics with excessive marketing
Beware of clinics that say, "You need all of this for your wedding!" and recommend unnecessary treatments.

Clinics with unclear pricing
Package prices vary greatly by clinic. Make sure to verify the types and number of treatments offered and assess whether the pricing is reasonable.

Clinics that include expensive lifting treatments
Treatments like Ultherapy, Thermage, and Titanium are not ones that show dramatic results with just one session.

Clinics where the consultation is not done by a doctor but by staff

The decision of whether to proceed with treatment should be made by the doctor who will actually perform the procedure.

If the consultation is done by reception staff or counselors, carefully consider that clinic before making a decision.

📌 もし私が選ぶなら…

💡 1. 自分の悩みをしっかり聞いてくれる
💡 2. 新郎新婦だけでなく、ご両親も相談できる
💡 3. 実績があり、適正価格のクリニックを選ぶ

📌 If I were choosing…

💡 1. Choose a clinic where they truly listen to your concerns.

💡 2. A clinic where not only the bride and groom but also the parents can receive consultation.

💡 3. Select a clinic with a proven track record and reasonable pricing.

💎 Wedding packages are effective for quickly improving the skin, but they are not necessary for everyone.

💎 What’s most important is choosing the right treatment based on your skin condition, budget, and preparation time!
