Recently, several clinics have been advertising:

✔ "Our clinic's exclusive special cocktail injection!"
✔ "Patented original formula!"
✔ "A special skin booster you can only get here!"

These ads have become more common.

These "special recipes" promoted by skin boosters and fat-dissolving injections are often priced higher than regular ones.

But in reality...

"Is it really something special?"

Today, let's dive into the truth behind this.

📌 1. What’s Inside the Dermatology "Secret Skin Booster"?

To get straight to the point:

"The ingredients in these 'special' skin boosters are mostly standardized across clinics."

Even though many clinics claim to have their own unique formulations, the basic ingredients are usually the same, with the two key components being:

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide)
👉 Commonly known as "salmon DNA injection," this ingredient promotes skin regeneration.

그림2.png

Hyaluronic Acid
👉 Commonly used in "water-light injections," it helps improve skin hydration and elasticity.

The reason these two ingredients are the "main components" is simple:
☑ Their effects are scientifically proven
☑ They are highly safe
☑ And most importantly, "they are cost-effective."

In addition, the following ingredients may sometimes be added:

Rejuran (PN – Polynucleotide)
Exosome
Botox
Lidocaine (used for pain relief & as a dissolving agent)
Sodium Bicarbonate (pH adjustment)
Niacin (Vitamin B3)
Cobalamin (Vitamin B12)

In other words, these ingredients are essentially combined to create the skin booster.

Now, why is the "original skin booster" so expensive?

📌 2. Why Do Clinics Create Their Own Unique Formulations for Skin Boosters?

At first glance, hearing about a "special recipe" might make it seem like it will have remarkable effects, right?

그림4.jpg

However, when you consider the composition of skin boosters, the idea is based on "blending multiple ingredients to achieve synergistic effects" in treatment.

For example…
"To improve skin elasticity" ➡ PDRN + Hyaluronic Acid
"To reduce redness and inflammation" ➡ PDRN + Exosome
"To enhance skin radiance" ➡ Hyaluronic Acid + Botox

Additionally, differences in pH and osmotic pressure can also:

✔ Reduce pain during treatment
✔ Help reduce swelling and redness after injection

💡 However, this does not justify making the treatment "expensive"!

📌 3. Why I Do Not Recommend Clinic-Specific Skin Boosters

In reality, there are significant issues with the "blending" of skin boosters.

그림5.png

Issue #1: The combination of ingredients is not always effective

Each ingredient has an appropriate pH and optimal concentration. Furthermore, some ingredients may lose their effectiveness when mixed.

For example, Exosome loses its activity when exposed to air, meaning it must be opened right before injection.

If a clinic is storing a "secret recipe" pre-mixed skin booster, the effect might already be diminished before injection.

Issue #2: Lack of transparency in pricing

When a clinic creates its own unique skin booster, the exact ingredients are often unclear, and the cost is not transparent.

💰 While the actual cost of these ingredients is quite low, they are often sold at a high price.

For example, the cost of PDRN (Rejuran) is approximately 2,000 yen per vial, yet when it's marketed as part of a "secret skin booster," the price can exceed 50,000 yen per treatment session.

✔ Even if it's said to contain PN (Polynucleotide), the actual amount could be very small. ✔ Even if Exosomes are advertised, the method of storage may render them ineffective.

Considering these possibilities, one might wonder:

"Is it really worth paying a premium for a vague skin booster?"

Problem #3: Ready-made products have more research and development behind them

In fact, commercially available skin boosters have undergone scientific research and clinical trials, proving their safety and effectiveness.

On the other hand, most clinic-specific blends lack scientific data.

In other words: 💡 "Research-backed ready-made products" are safer than "custom blends without scientific evidence."

For example: ✔ Rejuran (PDRN) has been proven in numerous clinical trials. ✔ ASCE+ (Exosome) has been developed by companies after years of research and is commercially available.

Yet, paying for a "secret recipe" at a high price seems questionable.

📌 Conclusion – Choose treatments with proven effectiveness!

"Secret skin boosters" = Just marketing hype

✔ The basic ingredients are nearly the same in every formula

✔ Opting for scientifically backed products is a safer bet

Don’t fall for unnecessary expensive treatments!

Of course, custom blends might have improvements like "less pain" or "longer-lasting effects," but the key is to assess whether the price justifies the benefit.

📌 Summary – How to Avoid Regret in Choosing a Skin Booster

✅ Choose scientifically proven products over "special recipes!"

✅ Think carefully about whether "high-priced secret blends" are truly valuable.

✅ Don’t be swayed by ads or marketing — check the ingredients carefully!
